Hello Felipe and welcome to Plikli Community. I recognized you (under a different user name) from Kliqqi. 🙂

Could you give me more info about onsite notification, like an example?

Nice! Since I start as a programmer in 2009, Im using pligg and kliqqi.

I think that a notification system, like facebook, is very important in a social network. Users should be notified when they get a reply - but email notifications are not very useful.

Just think about that^^ tnks

Have you tried the Subscribe To Comments Module?

When installed, a user will have an option in the profile settings to check the box for global subscription on all the stories that the user submitted:
Comment Email Subscription
Auto notification to comments on my stories

Or, the user can subscribe to stories comments individually.

As it is now, it will send an email of the comment, to any user who subscribed to receive a notification about the story comments.

I am planning to also add to it a private message that will be sent to the user, and this way, a notification will show on the button where the user's name is on the top right of the navigation bar.

Thats great!

I still recommend you to think about a more complete notification system, like facebook or twitter, and let this messages only for private messages between users. But this is a start!

Tnks for continue this awesome project. 😉

I appreciate your recommendation, however, it would be appreciated if you could provide a structure along with your recommendation to help figuring out the "more complete notification system' you are suggesting!

Thank you!

Do you mean like a complete system with settings to select what kind of notifications you want to receive by email and also notifications on the website?

I mean a notification that shows when a user get a reply in a story or in a comment posted by him.. Notifications like facebook and twitter: so when a user click in a notification, It brings him directly to the story or comment.

For bigger websites, receive a lot of email notifications is not cool.

I like it a lot! Hope it to be available soon 😉
