My suggestion is to create an option that allows you to submit a new article just click on the image that is suggested by the system when fetched the link to add.

At this moment I just copy the link and insert using the extension Image upload and this possible option would be a great "plus" on this extension.

Cheers

The RSS import could add images.

You mean when you are submitting an article that has an image which the CMS detects and displays on the submit page? You want an option to click on it and it will be uploaded?

Waiting for your answer to provide you with a proper technical response!

That cannot be done. We cannot click on the the image and save it on the server. Research all the restrictions and vulnerabilities...

It must be saved on your device and then uploaded.

Maybe if the image url found appears as a default value automatically on the 'url upload' field (when upload module is installed): example https://prnt.sc/mnbr08

This can be done, but it would be considered as hot-linking. The upload module was half broken and users were mostly using the link URL. I fixed it and I kept the URL option in the upload module.

What is the big deal in saving the picture that is fetched and then upload it?

Is there any site that does save the picture that is fetched directly on the server? I don't think so!!!
