I just tried submitting the same URL you said it says it is blocked. It worked with no problem and the URL info was fetched. There must be something in your server settings or a missing php extension.

Can you please let me know what php extension will prevent https url submission and gets into error.

Also can you please share copy of submit.php file if possible from the site where you are saying https url are being submitted.

FYI, I tried Pligg, then Kliqqe and now Plikli. This issues remains the same from starting. I think there is some additional changes in script for https url submission to work.

Can you please look into and suggest accordingly.

Thanks,
Vijay

Never ever share the phpinfo, you will be exposing all your settings!

You have allow_url_fopen ON and cURL is enabled. This means that it should work.

I have submitted the URL and it went through and feteched the title and the article image. This means that it should not be blocked as you are getting.

It worked on 2 of my instances and there is nothing wrong with the CMS!

Here is the submitted article.

Thanks for the suggestions, phpinfo was shared just for your reference. That is no more available, I have removed that.

I agree that you were able to submit the URL on your instances and I appreciate your support on that.

Can you please share files which are responsible for URL check's (http or https) so that I should recheck at my version of file if those needs any rectification.

Thanks

The files are available from the download package, which should be the same installed by you, unless you have modified the core files.

The submit process is in /submit.php

Do you have antispam enabled in the Dashboard? Either way, check the /logs/domain-blacklist.log that is empty and that the domain of the URL you are trying to submit is not listed.

Hi,

I am using core files delivered in package from website. I agree submit process is in submit.php. I have compared files in website package and git package and identified that there is difference in both files.

Anyways I have checked error log and pasting one row of error log home this helps.

[DATE TIME] PHP Fatal error: TPL: [in bootstrap/header.tpl line 108]: syntax error: dataLayer function does not exist (class.compiler.php, line 600) in /home/.../public_html/class.template.php on line 949

Also would request you to confirm below code from submit.php line 196

// check if URL is valid format
/* Redwine: fixed the regex to account for new domains up to 15 characters long */
$pattern = '/^(([\w]+:)?\/\/)?(([\d\w]|%[a-fA-f\d]{2,2})+(:([\d\w]|%[a-fA-f\d]{2,2})+)?@)?([\d\w]([-\d\w]{0,253}[\d\w])?\.)+[\w]{2,15}(:[\d]+)?(\/([-+_~.,\d\w]|%[a-fA-f\d]{2,2})*)*(\?(&?([-+_~.,\d\w]|%[a-fA-f\d]{2,2})=?)*)?(#([-+_~.,\/\d\w]|%[a-fA-f\d]{2,2})*)?$/';

Thanks,

"I am using core files delivered in package from website. I agree submit process is in submit.php. I have compared files in website package and git package and identified that there is difference in both files."

1- "I agree submit process is in submit.php" WOW!!! you agree that the submit process is in submit.php. Thank you for agreeing, because I feel more confident now!!!!!

2- The github files contain addition/deletion/modification of code AFTER THE LAST RELEASE, WHICH WAS 4.1.0, SO IT IS NORMAL THAT THEY ARE DIFFERENT!

3- in the error log:

1- header.tpl line 108 (this line is for the saved tab in the profile and has nothing to do with your issue.
2- there is no dataLayer. It refers to a custom function. Are you sure you did not modify any of the files, php, tpl, etc, or did not mix files from github and the official release 4.1.0?

4- "Also would request you to confirm below code from submit.php line 196" What exactly do you want me to confirm???? You have copied it from the file, right? so what is exactly that you are asking, and more importantly, do you really know what exactly you want???

I already proved to you that the code works and I tried it on 2 of my instances and provided you with a link. I explained to you that is a matter of server configuration and has nothing to do with the CMS.

To end this charade, your issue is server dependent and not with the CMS.
