Hello,

I hope you're doing great. I'm facing very difficulty when NEW USER REGISTER. I hope you could help me out. I have mentioned the issue below.

I have followed the given instructions and gone to Filter Text: , I put @ in the box and i saw 2 fields which i can edit but i don't know what to put in those fields. It is saying "ENTER_THE_LOCALPART_HERE@AND_THE_DOMAIN_PART_HERE". Whenever a New user apply to make a new account it doesn't send any mail to them and the user will be redirection to same page without any further instructions. It would be great if you can give your precious time to solve my problem.

You have not mentioned if you have changed the setting Dashboard -> Settings -> Miscellaneous -> Validate user email to true

If you want to have users validate your email, you have to set the above to true.

Then you ad you site's email in the language file as described:

Change this:

ENTER_THE_LOCALPART_HERE@AND_THE_DOMAIN_PART_HERE

to

the email you want to use for your site. Example balhara@balhara.com

I've changed

ENTER_THE_LOCALPART_HERE@AND_THE_DOMAIN_PART_HERE

to

My email: admin@balharainfo.com

but i am still facing the same issue and the user still redirecting to same window. is there anything i am missing. Please help me.

I just wish that when open a topic, you provide all the information and when you are asked about something to answer it.

I will have to take you step by step.

1- you did answer me if you have changed the setting in:
Dashboard -> Settings -> Miscellaneous -> Validate user email
and set it to true

2- you say that you entered your email in the language file, have you save the modification? When you modify the fiels, you see a Save and Cancel buttons. Have you clicked on save?

3- if you have done the above, what is happening, is the user receiving the email and trying to validate? or not receiving anything?

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO EXPLAIN TO ME STEP BY STEP SO THAT I WILL BE ABLE TO HELP YOU. IF YOU DON'T PROVIDE ALL THE INFORMATION AND ANSWERS, THE REPLIES ON THIS TOPIC WILL BE ENDLESS AND TAKE FOREVER.

IF YOU WANT ASSISTANCE, ANSWER ALL WHAT I ASKED YOU!!!

3. No, the user can’t get any mail even though they redirect to the same page instead of showing Your Registration is Successful, But I am getting the new user information in my USER tab. Please have a look on those Screenshots. -

I see from the screenshot that you have Plikli 4.0.0 and a new version 4.1.0 is displayed at the top of the dashboard!!!!

My intuition tells me that had Plikli 4.0.0 and you just copied the 4.1.0 over without running the upgrade process.

Is this true?

I tried to register on your site and it kept bringing me back to the registration page with all the field filled except the captcha.

This tells me that there is something wrong with your files; either modified or as I am predicting, you copied the 4.1.0 files to replace the 4.0.0 files.

I need to know exactly what you did in order for me to be able to help you!

Yes, you was right i was using 4.0.0 version but now we have upgraded to 4.1.0 version and have made all the changes according to your instructions yet it is having same problem.

YOU CANNOT JUST HAVE CHANGES. AS LONG AS THE THE VERSION 4.0.0 IS STILL THE ACTIVE ONE AND THE NOTIFICATION SHOWS THAT 4.1.0 IS AVAILABLE, IT MEANS THAT YOU DID NOT RUN THE UPGRADE AT ALL!

iF YOU RAN THE UPGRADE, THE VERSION WILL CHANGE AND THE UPGRADE IS NEEDED BECAUSE WHEN YOU JUST COPY THE FILES TO REPLACE THE OLD VERSION FILES, IT WILL NOT WORK!!! UPGRADE MAKES NECESSARY CHANGES TO THE DATABASE AND TABLES.

I BET THE ISSUE YOU ARE HAVING NOW IS BECAUSE THE UPGRADE WAS NOT RUN, AND THE NEW FILES HAVE EXTRA NEW CODE TO PROVIDE MORE STRENGTH TO THE PASSWORD HASHING THAT NEEDS THE PASSWORD FIELD IN THE USER TABLE TO BE SET TO A DIFFERENT VARCHAR.

I RECOMMEND THAT YOU RAN THE UPGRADE BY NAVIGATING TO THE INSTALL FOLDER AND THEN CLICK THE UPGRADE LINK FROM THE TOP MENU. iF YOU HAVE NOT DONE ANY OTHER MISHAP, THIS SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM.

YOUR SCREENSHOT OF THE USERS LISTING IN THE ADMIN SECTION SHOW THE USER REGISTERED WITH A TRIANGLE ICON THAT INDICATES THE USER WAS NOT VERIFIED YET.
